Check out Aayushma performing her original "Tongue Cement" at the Spring 2025 Showcase a few weeks back!

NEWS AND HAPPENINGS

Fantastic Job! Great job to all of the performers at the Spring 2025 Showcase a few weeks back. We raised over $500 for the American Red Cross through ticket sales!

Sign-ups are already underway for the Summer 2025 Showcase at Jammin' Java on July 27th 12:30pm. Both current and former students can participate. Spots are limited! Email Lena at SkyMusicinstruction@gmail.com today!

Upcoming Schedule Reminder

Just a reminder that Sky Music Instruction does not follow the Fairfax County Public School schedule and is OPEN for instruction this week. I am closed Sunday, April 20th for the Easter holiday.

  • Please be sure to cancel upcoming missed lessons through the Student Portal here.  This helps tremendously and avoids missed/overlooked emails regarding upcoming absences, both sent and received. If you need help logging into your account or resetting your password, please let me know.

  • Also, as a reminder, since vacation season is beginning - if you are missing 3 or more consecutive lessons, your spot will be released to a waiting list student.  When you're ready to return, just contact me and I can add you onto the waitlist for the next available spot.  Another option is to bill for the 3rd missed lesson or any that follow to retain your spot.  I hate to charge for unattended lessons, but I need to have the ability to keep my schedule full.  I hope you understand.

Congratulations, Lily!

You are April 2025's Teacher's Pet! For all of your hard work, you've earned a $20 Amazon gift card!

THIS MONTH IN MUSIC HISTORY - APRIL

April 1st 2020

Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne dies at 52 after contracting coronavirus. He's one of the first popular entertainers to die from the virus, which a week later claims the life of John Prine. Listen to (my favorite) Fountains of Wayne song, Denise now! courtesy https://calendar.songfacts.com/
